Kent Kippers already at war

It didn't take long for the wheels to fall off the UKIP bandwagon.

Within minutes of them gaining their only Kent CC seat in Tunbridge Wells, their successful candidate was attacked by his own party chairman, Victor Webb, who told the press,

"Personally, I would have preferred it to have been one of the more capable UKIP candidates who was elected."

That's the trouble with political parties like UKIP; they are only united by what they dislike. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

  1. If UKIP councillors are as rubbish as their MEPs, then we'll have a story to tell in a few months time. At the count today, a UKIP man said that in a short while some people will be wondering what on earth they've done. I thought he was referring to the electorate for electing that many UKIP councillors, but in fact he was talking about his own successful candidates, many of whom stood as paper candidates but, oops, got elected. He went on to say that he expected there could be a number of by elections in the coming months as a result.

If this comes to pass, then we should hit them hard. The electorate really, really doesn't like unnecessary elections.
